About Karama

Karama, or Al Karama is one of the older sections of Dubai, a residential area that sits near the Creek and is North of Zabeel Park.

Though it is only two square kilometers in area, it has a sizable residential population of over 45,000 people—often expatriates from South Asia—and is the most populated of all the residential sections of Dubai. It is relatively close to the landmark Dubai World Trade Centre, though Zabeel Park (which has been open since 2005) lies between them.
